FhuluTech (“we”, “us”) is a South African software development studio operated by Fhulufhelo Mokhomi. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect on fhulutech.co.za, why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our project assistant, contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp, you may share your name, phone number, email address, details about your project, and any reference files (images or PDFs) you choose to upload.
Conversation records. Conversations with our website assistant — including the options you select and messages you type — are recorded so we can prepare your quote and follow up properly.
Technical information. We record limited technical data such as your IP address, used solely to protect the site against abuse (for example, limiting automated spam).
How the AI assistant works
Free-text questions you type to our website assistant are processed by a third-party artificial intelligence service to generate a reply. Please do not type sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers, financial or health details) into the chat — it is never needed for a quote.
Why we use your information
- To prepare your price estimate and send you a confirmed quote;
- To contact you in the way you asked us to (phone, WhatsApp or email);
- To deliver and support the work you hire us for;
- To keep basic business records and improve our service.
We collect this information with your consent (you choose what to share) and for the legitimate purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers strictly needed to run this website: our web hosting provider (where the site and its database are stored), the AI service that powers the assistant’s replies, and email delivery. If you reached us through a Google advert, Google may measure that ad click through its own cookies — see Google’s privacy policy for details.
Storage, security and retention
Your information is stored securely; the site is encrypted with HTTPS and access is limited to the owner. We keep enquiry and quote records only as long as reasonably needed for business and legal purposes, and we delete them on request.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@fhulutech.co.za or WhatsApp +27 71 583 1490 and we will action it promptly. If you believe we have mishandled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforeg.org.za).
Children
Our services are aimed at businesses and adults; we do not knowingly collect information from children.
